Early, "Toad Sennin", seated with a staff in his right hand and a frog on his back. Has braided, blond hair tied through himotoshi.

Early ivory manju depicting a Samurai slaying a dragon in front of a seated figure holding a Samurai helmet. Has an age crack through the center portion of the manju.

"Netsuke Frog in Leaf"

Superb netsuke of folded leaves carved from a single piece of wood, with a frog carved from staghorn shown peering out from within the center of the leaf.  This netsuke is of unsurpassed quality, and features detailed foil backed eyes that seem to follow your movements.  This was designed to go with the inro shown below, but is being sold separately.  A special price deduction will be given If purchased with the inro and ojime shown below.

"Inro Frog on Leaf with Matching Netsuke and Ojime"

Intricately carved wooden Inro with a staghorn carved frog on the top of a multi-leaf wood one chamber box.  As with the above netsuke, this foil backed eyes, and has inlaid staghorn acorns and coral lady bug on the exterior of the inro.  This is one of the exceptionally fine examples of three dimensional art by this renowned artist.

Bright red, black and gilt wood netsuke of a drum mokugyo with a man lying on the top, arms outstretched.  This netsuke was purchased from Harishin's in Kobe, Japan 40 years ago by collector.
